I just had to write about what just happened a little while ago.  I have an iPhone 4 and my friend Eb wanted to try out the face time feature on her ipod touch.  So I'm in the bathroom topless about to brush my teeth and I have my phone resting on the top of the toilet and it starts to ring.  I see her face on my screen requesting face time and I'm thinking she can see me before I even answered the phone lol.  I'm shrieking and completely mortified thinking she can see me topless and with my sloppy bedtime hair.  I turn off the lights and I answer the call..and she's like "why can't I see anything?!" lol  OMG..technology is so invasive these days.  I called her back when I was decent for the camera.  I really like the feature but I'll definitely need a warning next time.

I went to a girlfriend's birthday dinner tonight at P.F. Chang's and got this message in my fortune cookie.  For the select few folks who I consider my true friends, I feel lucky to have them in my life.

bad blogger.

My poor poor neglected blog.  Nothing note worthy happening is most likely the reason why.  I decided to stay in tonight instead of hanging with the bestie.  His friend told him about a jazz show in the city but I wasn't really interested since tickets were $45 dollars.  I'm on a tight budget per usual.  We could have made other plans but I just don't feel like going out tonight.  Just one of those days...

I'm thinking about cutting my hair.  I'm awaiting the hair salon info from my friend who recently got hers cut.  I'm excited about the prospect of getting my hair styled because to be completely honest I've neglected proper hair care for a few years now because I had gotten so used to covering up my real hair with half wigs.  Now my hair is really damaged and I can't wait to start getting it healthy again.  When it comes to ethnic hair care, being lazy and careless just leads to disaster.  Lesson learned!

oatmeal nuggets.

I got the baking itch last night and decided to get a recipe online for oatmeal raisin cookies.  The recipe promised a perfectly soft cookie with crisp edges and the photo looked yummy so my decision was made.  The recipe stated that it made 3 dozen cookies which was too much for me here home on my own and I didn't want to waste ingredients so I halved it.

The end result were cookies that didn't flatten when they baked but still had a good taste and a soft center.  I brought them in to a couple of my co-workers who said they were good and I gave my friend a small container of the cookies to take home to her daughter.  My friend mentioned that they were a tad too sweet than what she's used to and that maybe too much baking powder caused the nugget-like cookie..perhaps I didn't measure well as I halved the recipe..Oh well, there's always next time.

After work on Friday my co-worker and I took an impromtu visit into Times Square to eat at the Olive Garden.  We shared a couple of appetizers and I enjoyed a virgin pina colada.  On the way there I snapped a few random pics on the iphone:

Later that night the bestie scooped me up for a night out and we paid $40 each for open bar. I was really excited to be out and about ejoying the night until I had a massive allergy attack and we ended the night early. Before I left home, I noticed I was sneezing and took a Zyrtec with the hope of feeling better by the time I left but it only progessed and worsened. I need to see a specialist. I've been an allergy sufferer for most of my life and unfortunatley, it has really affected my lifestyle.

Today was the most unproductive day ever.  I slept late, woke up with cramps and have been sluggish all day long.  Being a woman sucks sometimes.  But I did see two movies on Netflix from the instant viewing selection.  I watched and indie film called "Cashback" and an Italian film titled "La Finestra di Fronte" (Facing Windows).   I enjoyed both..check them out if you can and let me know what you think.

I've been out of a relationship for a little over a year now.  The relationship lasted less than a year.  I'm ready to date again but not sure how to get into the dating scene.  When and where do I meet new people when I go about the same routine day to day? Work..lunch break..home.  I've always been shy about meeting guys, but lately I'm a little bored and restless.  I'm in no rush though, it would be nice to meet someone but until then, I'll focus on me.  Everything will fall into place when it's supposed to.
